How the estimate works

Most creators price sponsorships from their audience. For YouTube and podcasts the usual method is cost per mille (CPM): views or downloads divided by 1,000, times a rate. TikTok creators more often quote per video by follower tier. Twitch streamers quote on average concurrent viewers.

The calculator applies published ranges to the number you enter. Use a creator's median views over their last 10 videos, not their subscriber count. Subscribers overstate reach on most channels.

Rights to run the content as your own ad add 30 to 50 percent, per Later, 2026.

What the estimate leaves out

  • Exclusivity, which keeps the creator from working with your competitors for a set time.
  • Rush fees for content that has to go live in days instead of weeks.
  • Extra deliverables, such as a Story, a pinned comment, or a link in the description for longer.
  • Your own costs: free product, shipping, and the margin you give up on discount codes.
  • Newsletters. Published rates per 1,000 subscribers run from about $1 to $18 depending on topic, which is too wide to estimate from list size alone. The newsletter guide explains how to price one.
